Bentley EV Torcal
A cabin that changes how a journey feels.
The project
Bentley’s public Torcal experience brings lighting, sound, climate, air quality and digital information into coordinated cabin modes. It offers a wider frame for the EV and multimodal experience work I contributed to at Bentley.
My contribution
Bentley Motors
October 2023–June 2025
My Bentley role covered AI strategy and product management across EV and innovation programmes, including use-case discovery, multimodal PoCs and alignment between design, engineering and external partners. The features below describe the publicly presented Torcal experience, rather than a claim that I individually designed every production feature.
01 / Experience orchestration
From individual settings to atmosphere.
Bentley describes four coordinated modes: Bentley, Comfort, Sport and Refresh. These change the character of the cabin through combinations of sensory and information settings. Comfort can reduce visual distraction; Sport emphasises engagement; Refresh combines brighter lighting with increased fresh-air circulation.

02 / Sound as interaction
An electric identity with a human rhythm.
The official sound-design story traces Torcal’s sonic identity from analysis of Bentley’s V8 rhythm to work with musicians and real instruments. The resulting sound responds to driver input, connecting vehicle behaviour with an emotional acoustic experience.
03 / My practice
Connect the concept to the system.
My programme work linked customer insight, AI possibilities and prototype experiences. That required making concepts understandable across disciplines, testing interactions early and considering how audio, visual and contextual layers could work together. The emphasis was a coherent experience rather than a collection of isolated technology demonstrations.
