AI Curation Engine / EXP 15

Designing the experience around the passenger.

The project

A vehicle experience extends beyond individual controls. This case brings together my work on AI curation and Bentley’s EXP 15 concept context: how intelligence, space and sensory interaction can support a more personal journey.

My contribution

Bentley Motors
October 2023–June 2025

Across Bentley’s EV and innovation programmes, I led AI use-case discovery, product roadmaps and proof-of-concept development. My work included audio, visual and contextual interaction concepts, reusable demonstration assets and cross-disciplinary reviews. I also contributed interaction concepts and prototypes to the EXP 15 concept work.

01 / AI curation

Start with the journey.

My discovery work explored intelligent content curation, voice AI and generative personalisation through customer research and cross-industry benchmarking. The task was to turn emerging capabilities into use cases with a clear purpose, then make those ideas concrete enough to discuss, prototype and evaluate.

02 / Concept context

The cabin as a complete experience.

EXP 15 presents Bentley’s broader vision for future luxury. Its three-seat layout, adaptable passenger space and combination of physical craftsmanship with digital elements create a setting for thinking beyond a conventional dashboard. Here, spatial design and passenger interactions form part of the same experience.

03 / Development

Make future experiences testable.

I developed multimodal proof-of-concept experiences across audio, visual and contextual layers, using rapid prototyping and iterative testing to support evaluation. Workshops and reviews brought design, engineering, business stakeholders and external partners into shared decisions about scope, feasibility and the product roadmap.

04 / Controlled curation

Personalisation beyond the screen.

Bentley’s EXP 15 concept explores VR-assisted configuration and an environment that responds to occupants’ preferences. Physical controls and digital information can come forward or recede, allowing the cabin to support different moments of a journey. These are the published concept ambitions, rather than a claim that all explored AI features reached production.

05 / Material experience

Craft, light and adaptable space.

The official concept combines locally woven silk with tactile 3D-printed titanium. Its three-seat interior includes space for luggage and pets, while the boot can become picnic seating when parked. Light becomes another design material, shaping the grille and the character of the cabin.

06 / Research context

Distinct programmes, shared questions.

The opening Curation Engine film is a reference from Bentley’s Torcal programme; the photographs below it show EXP 15. The earlier WIRED × Bentley article concerns EXP 100 GT. These sources offer different perspectives on personalisation and should not be read as documentation of one vehicle or one delivered system.
